Welcome to my brand new website! I am so excited to be able to communicate with you all and share news, training tips, products and answer any questions that you may have in this space! Along with this brand new website, here are some highlights of June for GS Equestrian!
GS Equestrian’s show season started with a bang in Calgary this year at the beautiful Rocky Mountain Show Jumping Venue, Anderson Ranch. Great weather (except for the tornado force winds on Saturday which to the credit of my students they bravely carried on at ‘X’ while flowers and letters were blowing across the arena), Penny Radostits and her equine partner Florencia VI competed in First Level. Not only starting a new level but Penny and Flo had a month off, and rose to the occasion with great scores!!!
Sarah Clouthier, a new student of mine since February, and her handsome gelding, Story of Serendipity, had their very first time in the show ring together. Together they won Amateur High Point of the entire show with a 76% and won a beautiful bridle and bridle bag by Schleese Saddlery. Sarah was also the Training Level Amateur Champion.
Rakeya Moussa and her newest addition to her equine family, Davidoff V.H. Trichelhof, was FEI Freestyle Champion of the show, as well as Young Rider Champion. In addition to these accolades, she also qualified for the North American Junior Young Rider Championships and is off to New York to now compete in the NAJYRC. All of us at GS Equestrian are thrilled and wish Rakeya all the luck in the world at the Championships.
Congratulations to Maddi Mandziuk on her purchase of her new equine partner, Benny. Expect to see Maddi and Benny saluting at ‘X’ by August!
On the technical front, GS Equestrian is stepping into PIXIO!! For those of you who know don’t know - Pixio is a robotic camera system that works with Skype, which enables me to coach remotely. Please contact me if you are interested in knowing more about this system!
